Roleplay in virtual worlds is more of an art form than a science. As one of the characters says towards the beginning of my book, "...there are no hard and fast roleplay ‘rules’ as such, but rather an ‘etiquette’ and several ‘conventions’ developed over time. These are in response to the need for basic agreements to make our roleplay smoother and avoid misunderstandings.”
This means there will always be something new to learn and differing opinions about the "right" way to roleplay. This forum is my way of asking for your constructive input -- comments, suggestions, tricks & tips, preferences -- anything that can help the rest of us learn a bit more about the rich diversity of approaches to roleplay.
One thing we as roleplayers are especially interested in is snippets of roleplay transcripts. We can't always be there to 'listen in,' and we often regret not having had more of an audience, so here's the chance to share what you and your partner(s) have written. Please ask them first and change the names to protect the innocent.
I look forward to seeing you in the forum!
